Board + Train

THE PROGRAMS

Our Board + Train programs are held in our home where your dog will be with us from Monday to Friday each week. This allows us to provide an overall in-home training experience – setting your dog up for success as we are able to cover so many things through out our program that you would run into during your everyday routine. We do not only train your dog, we train YOU too! Our goal is to spend as much time as possible with the owners during our transition and go-home sessions to transfer everything over for optimal success in the end.

3-4 Week Offleash Program

This program is NOT for dogs who have severe aggression, anxiety, or any type of behavioural problems.

*All tools are sold separately.

This is our most popular package. It is a great overall program starting off with basic obedience, all the way to offleash and recall. This package gives a wider range on house manners, leash walking, feeding routines, crate routines, and offleash/recall. We also incorporate in-town sessions which is where we bring your dog into stores or busier areas to use as distractions to get them used to the outside world. This is super beneficial especially for dogs lacking confidence or are just fearful to new noises, sounds and objects. First, we work with zero distractions and then build up to all real life experiences and distractions.

This is a great behaviour modification program with the aim to stop any unwanted behaviour. Our approach will be based on each individual dog who comes in. Every single dog is different in his or her own way which is why we adjust and tailor this program for each dog. Right away we try and establish a relationship and build trust with your dog before actually doing any training at all. Only after we build that trust is when we move on to the fun stuff! In this program we introduce the dog to a proper structured day and teach what is and what is not expected of them. No free roam, respecting boundaries, respecting threshold, etc. Based on the issues your dog is having whether it’s anxiety or aggression related, we will reach out to you and decide on the length of the program needed for you and your dog.

THE RULES

01.

All dogs coming into GTA KNINE must be up to date on all vaccines and require a Bordetella vaccine.

02.

All dogs must be crate trained or at least introduced to a crate. If not, please let us know the reasons and we will discuss/work on this.

03.

Last but certainly not least, all clients coming in must know this is a “work in progress”! Meaning just because your dog is here for a board and train and is doing amazing, does not mean there is no work involved on your part. There will be homework and a lot of information explained during the transition/go-home sessions for you to successfully re-enforce everything they have learned here back into your home. If you do not see yourself doing this or not following along afterwards, then our program is not right for you or your dog. We are looking for clients who need our help/guidance and who are willing to put in the work to have a great life with their dog. We are very picky with our clients! We are in this because we love helping people understand their dog better and how to enjoy a proper lifetime with them. We need clients who are ready for a change!
